We are pleased to announce that at the end of May this year, the Rotary International Foundation approved funding for the Global Grant project “For them, those who take care of us”.
This project was initiated in March of this year by the
Rotary e-Club of Moldova International (District 2241) in collaboration with the Rotary Club Saint-Cloud (District 1660), France, within the Inter-Country Committee France – Romania – Republic Moldova.
The objective of the project is to provide support in the form of medical equipment and consumables to a number of 7 medical institutions in the Republic of Moldova in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. Among the hospitals benefiting from the project are: District Hospitals from Soroca, Straseni, Cahul, Stefan-Voda, Glodeni, Psychiatric Hospital from Balti and the Emergency Medicine Center from Chisinau.
The total amount collected under this project is approximately one million Moldovan lei (US $ 56,033), which consists of donations from members and friends of 9 Rotary Clubs in the Republic of Moldova, Romania, France and Greece, the contribution of District 2241 Romania and Republic of Moldova, and the contribution of the Rotary International Foundation. The project takes place between May 15 and November 30, 2020. The first batches of medical materials and equipment will be delivered to the beneficiary institutions between June 15 and 30, 2020.

We also thank all those who donated in the “For them, those who take care of us” campaign, as well as the Caritate.md website, which provided us with the fundraising platform. The project “For them, those who take care of us” is the first Global Grant implemented by Rotary e-Club of
Moldova International.
